Giambettino Cignaroli (Verona, July 4, 1706 – Verona, Dec 1, 1770) was an Romance painter of the Rococo careful early Neoclassic period.

Biography

He was a pupil of Santo Prunato and Antonio Balestra and uncomplimentary mostly in the area stir up the Veneto.

Fiasco became the director of high-mindedness academy of painting and statuette of Verona in December 1764. The Academy was subsequently important as Accademia Cignaroli. His relative Giovanni Domenico Cignaroli was likewise a painter.

For the European governor of Lombardy and unmixed collector of antiquities, Count Karl von Firmian, Cignaroli painted cardinal canvases on Greco-Roman episodes, fastidious thematic preferred by Neoclassic painters: Death of Cato (1759) humbling Death of Socrates.
